The Federation
History
The Federation of Wine Roads of Tuscany, transformed on November 2, 2005 into the Federation of Wine Roads of Oil and Flavors of Tuscany, first experience at national level, was born on July 27, 2001 in Montespertoli (FI) to give a regional response to the promotion of activities related mainly to food and wine tourism and can be understood as an integrated tourism system, made up of different territorial realities that have a common and shared vision of local development.
The Federation has goals that range from participation in events in Italy and abroad by communicating an image aimed at raising awareness and training operators and sharing objectives at multiple levels, adapting to quality standards and common images to respond reception requirements, quality, accessibility, usability of resources. Therefore the Federation, through the joint commitment of the Streets, gives a further weight to food and wine tourism, one of the most efficient realities to move flows towards the lands of Oil, Wine and Flavors and give voice to those who firmly believe that these products represent more than an economic resource, but rather a philosophy, a way of life, the roots of those who live and live in the countryside; a wealth to share with a responsible consumer and a passionate tourist who seeks the culture of good drinking and good food.
Since its inception, the Federation has participated in national events such as: Bit, Vinitaly, Skipass, TTG and others. It jointly creates cultural events on the Tuscan territory.

Some projects done:
Tuscan Wine Architecture
TWA is a network of companies, established in 2017, which brings together 14 design wineries (Cantina Antinori, Caiarossa, Cantina di Montalcino, Castello di Fonterutoli, Colle Massari, Fattoria delle Ripalte, Il Borro, Le Mortelle, Petra, Podere di Pomaio , Rocca di Frassinello, Salcheto, Tenuta Ammiraglia - Frescobaldi, Tenuta Argentiera) first example in Italy to enhance wine, architecture and tourism. Buildings of the highest architectural quality that express a renewed aesthetic relationship between the production space and the worked product, which are not only an expression of functionality, but are capable of expressing an emotion, an idea, their own vision of the world. Some are signed by great masters of twentieth-century architecture (including Mario Botta and Renzo Piano), others are the expression of design choices that favor bio-architecture, experiment with innovative ways of integrating new technologies in the field of energy and reduce the 'environmental impact. A group of large companies that joins because they believe in an even bigger company: to promote a vision of contemporary Tuscany that lives up to what the ancestors were able to leave us as gifts. New custodians of a landscape that is a real world heritage site.

Wine Week
The European project The Wine Lab (www.thewinelab.eu) involves universities that deal with agriculture and oenology, also from the tourism point of view, and wineries in Italy, Austria, Hungary and Greece and aims to encourage the development of new methods and approaches for spatial planning. Among the various practical activities already active, there are the "Wine Weeks" that bring students to know the territories of the States involved by visiting farms and wineries representative of what is traditionally meant by food and wine itineraries in Tuscany. Since 2017 this Federation has collaborated with the aforementioned universities for which it develops, organizes and carries out training trips in Tuscany.

European project Terragir3
This Federation in collaboration with: Tuscany Region, Liguria Region, Regional Enoteca of Liguria, Office du Developpement Agricole et Rural de Corse (ODARC), Cannonau Wine Route, Conseil Interprofessionnel des Vins de Corse, Provincial Administration of Nuoro (leader) The Terragir3 cross-border project. This project intends to address all possible measures to increase the sustainability of tourist demand in cross-border territories and to develop promotional and marketing activities aimed at reducing seasonal concentrations and diversifying tourist flows with respect to the most popular destinations with particular reference to the food and wine routes of the rural areas. The project therefore aims to create cross-border tourist packages for the promotion of the territory and the seasonal adjustment of tourist flows and to share a multimedia system of cross-border tourism promotion enhanced also through "non-conventional Marketing" actions. At the end of the project, thanks to the Federation, the roads of wine, oil and flavors of the Tuscan coast will be equipped with a booking engine for booking experiences of their members.
